FAQ

WHY THE CHANGE OF NAME??
The Alternative Fringe was a statement against the Pay-to-Play promoters.
We have proved there is another way and Heroes of Fringe is a fully fledged promoter in its own right.
Also “Alternative” is a dated term that means many different things to different people. It could become a bit of a millstone.

WHO IS BEHIND HEROES OF FRINGE?
Heroes was set up by Bob Slayer who several publications have described as harnessing “The Spirit of the Fringe” including The Scotsman, The Fix, Huffingdon Post, The Skinny, John Fleming, FringeGuru etc – this was probably initiated on bobslayer.com!

WHAT IS THE CONNECTION WITH LAUGHING HORSE?
We are an Independent Promoter. We grew out of a Laughing Horse venue. We use the same web database as them and have a deal to put our posters in their venues. However we are separate and independent of them.
